GOAL

The main objective of this NGO is to ameliorate the social situation of the girl child in Cameroon.

 

ACTIVITIES

 

To accomplish its goal this organization organizes free technical training in sewing other programs owing to the fact that they focus mainly on urban areas.

This training is aimed inserting these young girls in to the socio- professional life and utilizing this as an instrument to fight poverty.

CRAT (Center for Rehabilitation and Abolition of Trauma)

 

This NGO deals with victims of torture, inmates, individuals who had or do suffer from some from mental health related issues.

 

ACTIVITIES

 

 

They do organize training seminars during which they train psychosocial counselors who do operate in the community, organize conferences and exchange visits. They carryout programs at various prisons facilities, encourage community education, organize programs in schools, do advocacy work, and organize outreach programs.

ACTIVITIES

 

Protection and defense of refugees and vulnerable persons in Cameroon (an estimated 1000 individuals within 2 years from various communities including unaccompanied children and child soldiers).

GOAL

 

Reinforcement of Capacity, defense and protection of workers’ rights, creation of socio- economic and cultural activities to profit workers.

 

ACTIVITIES

 

This organization through its professional action exerts pressure on various decisions aimed at creating a model of development which renders justice to the worker, collectivities and the poor. This organization organizes seminars and workshops since 1999 throughout the Cameroonian territory for the benefit of workers.

They carry out advocacy at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization and the Presidency of the Republic to consider the civil society during the implementation of decentralization. This is done through written recommendations, meetings and working sessions.

GOAL

ACTIVITIES

 

  1. Sensitization of the population on the ills of tribalism and of HIV/AIDS.
  2. Organization of conferences on tribalism; poverty; HIV/AIDS; Racism; the development of education in rural areas, illiteracy, and under education.
  3. Organize seminars financed by the American Embassy in Cameroon aimed at training Human Rights trainers.

Volunteer for Prison Inmates (VIP) Cameroon 

GOAL

 

The goals of this human rights organization is to curb the number of human right violations in prisons and detention facilities by reason of fairer disciplinary and administrative procedures, greatest access to justice and heightened awareness of basic rights.

 

ACTIVITIES

 

This organization offers paralegal assistance to inmates; they organize focused group discussions, conferences, seminars and workshops.  They further do research work and publications, offer free medical assistance to inmates, distribute rights information to prisoners, organize training programs, collect and distribute second handed items to prisoners, and carryout prison evangelism.
